A Forever Family

There are three events in my life that I have experienced that I hold sacred. The first is becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the second is meeting my husband and getting married in the Washington D.C. Temple, and the third is getting sealed to my children with my husband as an eternal family, in the Denver Temple. All of these events helped shape my testimony of the gospel, my character, and my faith and love in my savior Jesus Christ. I know I am a daughter of God and I am thankful for the blessings he has blessed me with.
When I moved to Pennsylvania in 2000, I had no idea that I would soon meet my eternal companion. I lived in Pennsylvania for six years before I met Hubby # 2. My first husband of course had some server problems of his own and had to work at it alone. I was attending Penn State University when I met my second husband. After my first divorce, I thought I had everything figured out. I was never gone to get married again, school was my companion and the kids were my soul mates. Although that was very true in many aspects, I was deeply pained at the thought that I was alone, going to school, and raising three beautiful kids on my own. I told myself (and God) that I would never marry outside of my faith, beliefs, and standards again. Then one day the most miraculous event occured that I never saw coming. I met Austin Grover, a faithful Latter Day Saint, a worthy priesthood holder, and a worthy temple recommend holder, and life changed. I fell in love all over again. And I knew that I had to give love a chance again. I admit I was very worried about the kids and how they would react to me dating Austin, I did not want to put another man into their lives, just so he could crush their little hearts. And if any mother is as protecting of their little cubs as I am, they know the feeling of anguish when they think about one of thei little ones being hurt in anyway. To make a long story short, Austin and I dated for a while watching how the kids responded and with the hopes that things would progress and turn out lovely. Before we got married for the second time (both of us), we prayed to ask Heavenly Father if it was good and right. We not only had to consider ourselves but children as well, and we were very concerned. When we both received confirmation that it was right, we got married. Austin and I got married three months after our first date, which was about a week or two after we met. We got married in the Washington D.C. Temple on March 11, 2006. It was the Happiest day I have expeienced in my life. I was able to come closer to my Heavenly Father by means of the priesthood on earth and thereby be sealed to my eternal companion. I did not realize that this day was only a part of my blessings that the lord would extend to me in this life. Shortly after my marriage to Austin, we had the privlege of getting sealed to our children in the Denver Temple. That story will be posted in my next blog.
